Sisters Living With
Alopecia Inc held its 2013 Alopecia Awareness Photo-shoot September 21, 2013.
A total of 5 were in attendance. The models included three women, two girls and
one male. Stacie Tucker the founder of SLWA INC., Deborah Smith of Pine Bluff,
AR. Sharon Hampton of Little Rock, AR. Janiq Smalls (8) of Brinkley, AR and
Alexia Grace (6) of Sherwood, AR. VCH Photography sponsored the photo-shoot
along with OneofaKind Talent Inc. OneofaKind Talent Inc provided us the male
model, Earl Johnson. In addition to the Photo-shoot, SLWA hosted an online
photo contest on their Facebook page. Over 3 dozens photos were submitted. It was a hard decision but six beautiful girls
and women were chosen. Haley Kreis, (NJ), Lili Anel, (PA), Ranja
Vauhkonen, (Finland), Ella Miozzi, (MI), Olivia
McDonnel, (MX), and Nicole Aldridge, (GA).
The calendar will be ready to purchase on our website www.sisterslivingwithalopecia.com on or before December 1,
2013. The calendar will feature Alan Jefferson who has been a big supporter of
SLWA since shortly after the birth of SLWA. He will be featured in the month of
June with a special message to the women and children dealing with Alopecia.

2013 Annual Doll
Drive kicked off November 1, 2013. Our goal is to collect 200 Moxie/Bratz
Hope Dolls this year. Last year was our first doll drive and we successfully
collected 100 and distributed the dolls to Arkansas Children’s Hospital
Oncology Department. This year we will distribute the dolls to the St. Jude’s
Hospital & to the children on SLWA’s Doll Wish List for Girls & Boys
with Alopecia under the age of 12.
Please help us obtain our goal! You may send monetary
donations to SLWA, Attn: Doll Drive, P.O. Box 6991, Sherwood, AR 72124 or you
may choose to purchase the dolls on Kmart.com, Target.com or Amazon.com. If you
live in the Pulaski County area, we will meet you.
